About Us

Yorke Peninsula is a rapidly growing area located west of Adelaide. Shaped like a leg and foot the narrow Peninsula extends about 160km south from Port Wakefield. The Gulf St. Vincent separates the Peninsula from Adelaide with a distance of about 70km over water from Adelaide to Port Vincent, Stansbury & Edithburgh.

The region is well known as a reliable farming, cropping and grazing area, which produces a large percentage of Australia’s premium malting barley. More recently the area has become a strong tourist destination with families visiting during summer and the ‘grey nomads’ out of school holidays.

The Southern Yorke Peninsula is characterised by small, pretty coastal townships and holiday settlements which are serviced by Minlaton and Yorketown for retail, commercial and medical services.

Yorke Peninsula Real Estate

We are a new brand launched in May 2009 which is 100% focused on real estate 363 days a year.

Principal Kym Stanitzki and his wife Karen came to the area in April 1989 for an anticipated 12 to 18 months.

Kym was a real estate salesman for a national brand until 1993 when he and Karen opened a franchised real estate office. With over 15 years of successful trading which included numerous state sales awards we launched Yorke Peninsula Real Estate to offer clients a premium service combined with honest, country values. Since our launch we have grown to hold a dominant market share in the central and southern areas of the Peninsula. We have installed state of the art operating systems to streamline office procedures and administer our growing database of potential purchasers. Our expectation is for growth as our superior service is recognised.

Your local representative for "The Bottom End", Patrick Opie has been associated with this area since 1985, which has familiarised him with the diversity of the district and the many changes that have taken place over the years.

Prior to starting the Marion Bay office of Elders Real Estate in 2004, Patrick practiced as a General Builder with his wife Jenny, an Architect, for 17 years. Patrick also studied for his Real Estate Agents Certificate in 1984 and completed in 1987. This building and design background places Patrick in the unique position of understanding aspects of the housing industry from the ground up to marketable product. With a good eye for detail and a sound knowledge of costs and current market trends, the advantage for both Vendor and Purchaser are that a sound price assessment will be arrived at from a solid knowledge base.

Your local representative for the “East Coast”, Lana has a very strong passion for the Peninsula and Property and it shows!  Having lived in Stansbury for most of her life Lana definitely knows what the Peninsula has to offer.

Lana brings to us a legal background along with 5 years of Real Estate Sales experience, having completed her training with the Real Estate Institute of SA in 2007. Prior to this Lana enjoyed a 12 months working holiday around Australia with her husband Damien, where she gained experience in many different areas.

Lana understands that selling a home can be a scary process for both the Vendor and the Purchaser alike, therefore prides herself with her communication skills along with her attention to detail. Lana is young, vibrant and has the local knowledge to be able to provide you with an “honest” market appraisal. Lana believes it is always easier to sell in an area when you have such a strong love for it.

Lana loves spending time at the beach and playing netball for the local CMS Crows in which she is the captain of the A Grade team.

Lana is based in the Stansbury office, pop in and say “hello” to your local area specialist.

Lana is currently on maternity leave. Please contact Kym on 8853 2533 or 0419 850 276 for enquiries in Port Vincent, Stansbury and Edithburgh.

Your local representative for the northern area of Yorke Peninsula is Carly Jarrett. Originally from Mount Gambier, Carly studied in Adelaide and completed a Bachelor of Business (Property) majoring in Property Conveyancing. She moved to the peninsula after meeting a local farmer, Paul Jarrett and worked with Kym Stanitzki at Elders Real Estate in Administration and later moved into a sales role, where she received several state awards for sales and at one point being the No.3 Sales Consultant in the state. Carly and her husband live just out of Maitland on the 6th generation farm with their children Zac, Cooper and Daisy. She is very excited to be returning to real estate, servicing the Central Yorke Peninsula.

Snapshot of the real estate market

Since 2000 our market has been driven by the 50 plus year age group preparing for their retirement. This group now accounts for over 80% of our purchasers. The remaining buyers are the 30 to 40 year age group, often with children purchasing a holiday homes.

We have seen strong capital gains with our towns averaging between 11.5% to 14% annual gains over the last 10 years.

With our close proximity to Adelaide and great country lifestyle we anticipate the ‘sea change’ trend to continue as the ‘baby boomers’ focus on their retirement.

Our Philosophy

We will provide you with honest, country advice. The only thing we may embellish is the size of the fish we catch. Kym may one day catch that 6’ whiting he goes on about. Over 80% of our business is from repeat customers or referrals.

We love our vocation on sunny Yorke Peninsula.
